100% Tempranillo grown in Columbia Valley along the Columbia River Gorge in the Ancient Lakes AVA. With soft tannin and mouth feel it exhibits an exciting profile of cherries, italian dried plum, leather, and cola nut followed by hints of sage and fig. Oak flavors exist in the background to showcase the varietal. Perfect when seeking a wine that is food friendly, heavier than a Pinot Noir but not as robust as a Cabernet.
Cave B estate vineyards are typical of the Ancient Lakes AVA. They offer a whitish calcium bound combination of clay, sand and gravel soil similar to other deserts of the world. This dry arid environment tends to be perfect for the tempranillo grape as it historically thrives in some of the hottest regions of Spain.

This tempranillo shows bright fresh fruit indicative of Washington State, very "new World" in style.
